In high school summer job i killed a couple of pretty nasty looking 5 footers by whipping them severely about the head with the big ubiqutous cowboy belt buckle. One whack behind the head and broke back snake. Having aged and not needing the nerves jacked up from a close quarters battle i now carry an old solid fiberglass fishing rod in the truck bed. Ive killed a few up to 4 ft with an arrow when hunting in Oct. I distributed this item nearly twenty years ago however, I have no affiliation with them how in any way, shape or form, except killing snakes.Your choice either works well but my mother prefer'd the garden hoe. I also feel it is a safe shotgun well designed for its purpose. PM me and I will be glad to answer any questions you may have on the shotgun.

I got the one that scared me to death and damn near got my hand the same day. If anyone is interested, I will post the pic of the 52"er. Also, a slug will kill a beaver if you are close. There is ammo storage in the butt stock for four or five rounds. A 3" 7 1/2 will extent the range and shoot tighter than a skeet load (2 1/2" #9). A 2 1/2" shell in about any shot size works well for me at the range I shoot it with very little recoil. I looked like a monkey perched on boat seat with the tiller in one hand and a stick in the other running the boat. I got a big stick, took a swat at the snake, missed, and I will be damned if he did not get under the seat. I figured I could walk back to my house but realized I would have to swim a deep canal to get there. I was on the bank and the snake was in the boat. Not only did I let him have the back of the boat, I let him have the whole boat. When my watery eyes focused, I noticed an 18" cotton mouth coiled up around the transom clamps, six inches from my hand. I turned around to adjust something on the outboard. I was also running a boat, unarmed, on a cool spring day to my spillway. I killed one last year, with a Snake Charmer, that measured 52". I am a rice farmer, in Arkansas, and we grow very big Cottonmouths here. I have one of them as do many of my friends. Federally, is is classified as a long gun.
